Didn't really think the wind would happen today, so this was a bonus really.

Arrived as the mid-tide shoredump had started, but it wasn't really bad. Most people were on 5.8m sails and occasionally slogging, so I went for the new 6.4m rather than my next-smaller 5.4m.

This proved a good choice as I was nicely powered up at all times, and it was quite fun for a while. Despite looking flat from the beach, it was choppy as hell, with a few fairly big ramps to jump. Didn't do much of that though - pretty much just zoomed about.

The wind really picked up towards the end, and I was feeling a bit "fast" for the choppy conditions. After coming in it turned out that most (heavier) guys were pretty well powered on their 5.8's and less, so I guess I was doing okay (never felt overpowered, there was just lots of it!).

Nothing special, but fun anyway. Sea temperature was noticeably a lot warmer than my week-day sessions in Suffolk, so boots not needed for a while longer yet. Phew.
